Who we are
Advection Geo is led by Daniel Alonso Torres, M.Sc., Professional Geoscientist with over 14 years of experience combining scientific research, geothermal energy, mining exploration, drilling, and hydrogeology. His expertise in the application of geological, geophysical, and geochemical methods to geothermal exploration has led to the generation of multiple projects and the advancement of prospects from concept through drilling. Beyond exploration, Daniel has contributed to research studies in geochronology, structural geology, and tectonics, and completed technical and due diligence reviews of advanced geothermal projects.
As a passionate science communicator and geothermal advocate, Daniel has published several works in peer-reviewed scientific journals and conferences, and delivered numerous workshops and webinars to diverse audiences.
Daniel serves as a Director for British Columbia at the board of Geothermal Canada and is a committee member of the Geothermal Technical Division of the Canadian Energy Geoscience Association.
